Blood Angels
Blood Angels - noble heroes with a curse hidden within them
The Blood Angels are one of the oldest and most famous chapters of the Adeptus Astartes, founded directly from the genetic lineage of Primarch Sanguinius. They are known for their noble nature, artistic soul, and unparalleled close combat skills. Their homeworld of Baal is harsh and merciless, but it has given birth to one of the most renowned warrior brotherhoods in the Imperium.
The dark side of the Blood Angels' reputation, however, is their genetic curse: Red Thirst and Black Rage. These psychological and genetic aberrations can transform them into bloodthirsty beasts in battle, or into furious warriors who obsessively relive the death of their Primarch.
From a gaming perspective:
- Playstyle: Fast and very dangerous melee army, with excellent use of jump troops.
- Strengths: High mobility, deadly close combat power, special units with jump packs.
- Challenges: Prone to heavy gunfire before entering close combat, psychological “curse” can limit tactics.
- Suitable for the player: Anyone who wants to play with a beautifully painted melee army with an iconic backstory.
Features on the table:
- Chapter Tactic: Savage Echoes - additional attacks in melee, especially with Assault Doctrine.
- Special units such as the Sanguinary Guard, Death Company, and Baal Predator.
- Heroes like Commander Dante, Mephiston, and Astorath the Grim.
- Jumping units that allow for lightning-fast strikes to the enemy's core.
Painting and collecting:
The Blood Angels' signature bright red armor, gold accents, and black wings create a stunning visual ensemble. Special icons and embellishments, such as angel wings and blood drop symbols, make each model a work of art.
