Death Guard
Unstoppable legions of death and plague
The Death Guard are one of the most feared and iconic legions of Chaos. Immortal, rotting, and wholly owned by Nurgle, the god of plague and rot. These warriors were once loyal Space Marines, but during the Horus Rebellion, they fell into Nurgle's clutches and became his eternal servants.
Death Guard warriors feel no pain, no fear, no death. Their bodies are riddled with disease and rot, but these gifts make them nearly indestructible on the battlefield. They march slowly but inexorably forward, suffocating their opponents with rot and poison.
From a gaming perspective:
- Playstyle: Slow, heavy, and unstoppable. Advancing towards the enemy at an iron pace.
- Strengths: Very durable units, excellent melee resistance, strong area and poison effects.
- Challenges: Slow movement can be a disadvantage against fast opponents.
- Suitable for the player: Anyone who wants to play with a durable, pressing army that gradually crushes the opponent.

- Exceptional durability: high Toughness and special rules like Disgustingly Resilient.
- Poison and plague weapons that weaken enemy units and deal continuous damage.
- Powerful melee units like Deathshroud Terminators and Blightlord Terminators.
- Support is provided by demonic allies and putrid war machines like the Foetid Bloat drone.
Painting and collecting:
Death Guard's iconic look consists of shades of green, brown and bone white, spiced up with details of rust, blood and rot. Each figure is full of details: festering wounds, cockroaches, spikes and blisters, making painting both creative and rewarding.
