The Mechanicum is a vast technological and religious empire on Mars, controlling nearly all of humanity's military technology in the 31st millennium. Their power extends to the moon Titan, countless factory worlds, and the entire weaponry of the Imperium. The Mechanicum worship the Omnissiah, the Machine God, who combines cutting-edge technology, cybernetics, and the secrets of ancient knowledge in warfare.

During the Horus Heresy, the Mechanicum split into two camps: the Loyalists, who remained with the Emperor, and the Dark Mechanicum, who sided with Horus and Chaos. However, both sides wield the same staggering arsenal of war machines and cybernetic soldiers.

From a gaming perspective:

Mechanicum offers the painter a wide range of metallic surfaces, mechanical details and gothic machine elements. The classic Mars red combined with brass and steel is iconic, but black, silver and dark green variants also work great. Various energy effects, glowing lenses and worn metal surfaces make the details of the models spectacular.
