Citadel Shade paints are designed to flow into the grooves, recesses and details of a figure, adding dramatic shadow and depth. They do not cover but complement previous layers, highlighting the figure's shapes and details in a way that makes painting spectacular yet easy.
Shade paints are thin and very fluid, and work best when applied liberally and allowed to flow by gravity. A single coat can transform a flat surface into a rich, multi-dimensional whole.

Usage tip:
Apply generously with a large brush and avoid getting paint in the wrong places. Wipe off any excess before it dries. Let it dry thoroughly before moving on to the next step.
